Dr. Stephen deRoux
I am an American Board of Pathology board-certified (Anatomic and Forensic) pathologist and CEO of deRoux Pathology Services LLC. I am licensed to practice medicine in New York and New Jersey.
I completed several years of training in General Surgery prior to my Anatomic Pathology training at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, NY. I completed one year of Fellowship training in Forensic Pathology at the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office where I remained full time for the next 25 years (16 years as Deputy Chief Medical Examiner). I have performed more than 5,500 autopsies and have been qualified as an expert witness in the fields of Anatomic and Forensic Pathology more than 400 times, both criminal and civil courts.
I have received numerous awards, have been an assistant/adjunct professor at 4 New York City area Universities and have published more than 25 peer reviewed articles in the medical literature. Since 2011, I have been a peer reviewer for the Journal of Forensic Sciences. I have been a guest speaker at scientific meetings in the USA, Canada and the Caribbean.
